we set up the shop for the new gorilla perfume scents on a vintage mercedes bus that was then painted with a mural by plastic crimewave who also made an amazing comic book for gorilla perfume! plastic crimewave's artwork also became the new labels for many of the new scents!

gorilla perfume launched the bug in a labyrinth which was installed with surveillance cameras and screens. audience members wore silent disco headphones and listened to the song the bug by magnetic man. they then came to a 9 screen installation of cctv footage.

the voice of reason gallery

the voice of reason by gorilla perfume was launched at lushfest in vintage listening booths that had record players in each with headphones and the album "i'm new here" by gil scott heron. you were instructed to put the record on track three. 
the insides of the booths were scented with the fragrance.

Simon Constantine built a stone circle at Holton Lee to reflect 6 fragrances he made based on traditional English ingredients. We scented the stones and launched Set In Stone: Hellstone, Furze, Devil's Nightcap, Burning Rosemary, Lord of Goathorn and Flower's Barrow. John Metcalfe composed 6 bespoke pieces of music for each rock and for each scent. We presented this at Lushfest 2012.

extraordinarily huge scent experiment

i've been working this week with incredibly inspirational people this week on LUSHFEST, which will take place in dorset, in early july. many talented performers will be in attendance, including plastic crimewave, and other musicians and writers. what i've been working on, and hearing the lovely secrets about, is a major, major, major scent experiment showcasing the works of gorilla perfumers extraordinaire, mark and simon constantine. when i say major, major, what i mean is MAJOR, MAJOR. i would suggest that anyone who is interested in a) perfume and b) scent art to book tickets now. this is a one-time-only, had-to-be-there sort of event. ( i wish i could spill at least one of the secrets, however, i really enjoy my new job). this. will. be. huge.
